Grossinger Motors Arena opened its doors to the public in 2006. The arena has been the home for several hockey, indoor football, and basketball teams. Along with sports tenants, we also host concerts, family shows, ice shows, motors sports, and trade shows. We are also the location for local graduation ceremonies, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals Caravans, Illinois High School Association’s regional and state tournaments, and a wide variety of meetings and wedding receptions.

Sporting Events & Competitions

Bloomington, IL, has lots of attractions for outdoor thrill-seekers, including the Constitution Trail, which covers 45 miles and features signs that describe key portions of the U.S. Constitution. The trail cuts through Tipton Park, where kids can cool off during the summer with a trip to the splash pad.

Active people will love all the sporting events and competitions hosted by the Grossinger Motors Arena, which is home to all kinds of sporting events, serving as the home for the junior hockey team The Central Illinois Flying Aces. Hockey is not the only ice sport hosted in the Arena.

The Grossinger Motors Arena is home to ice skating competitions and high school sporting competitions like The IHSA Cheerleading State Finals, a two-day competition where competitive cheer teams from across the state compete.

School Events

The arena annually hosts local high school graduation ceremonies, Bloomington High School, Normal Community High School, and Normal West High School, as well as the local community college's graduation ceremony, Heartland Community College.
