Grossinger Motors Arena opened its doors to the public in 2006. The arena has been the home for several hockey, indoor football, and basketball teams. Along with sports tenants, we also host concerts, family shows, ice shows, motors sports, and trade shows. We are also the location for local graduation ceremonies, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals Caravans, Illinois High School Association’s regional and state tournaments, and a wide variety of meetings and wedding receptions.

Illinois State University Redbird Hockey D3 team takes to the ice at the GMA!

Illinois State University Redbird Hockey was founded in 1969 making it the oldest student run organization on campus.

The organization plays under the American Collegiate Hockey Association or the ACHA at D1, D2, And D3 levels. All three Redbird hockey teams are a force to be reckoned with in their divisions.
